Couldn’t agree with you more. A lot of fiction allows the lessons to be discovered instead of slapping steps to success in your face.

A lot of ‘self-help’ doesn’t take into consideration the varied contexts of the reader. I’m just glad that some writers notice this and often stand out because they take this into consideration.
