The Pain. The Memories. The Regrets and What-ifs.

You can explain how you feel and paint what you think. They can empathize and sympathize. They can sit in silence and recommend therapists.

They can pray or sing with you. Cry with you or hug you through.

But they can’t take away the pain.

It’s as personal as a dream, lonely as closed eyes. It’s a shape only you can speak of, and a language meant for you alone.

Remember this when you wonder why they can’t understand.
