Keep Going

Stale tree,
branches fluttering free,
Wind within, wind without,
Free from leaves’ spree.

Break free,
Spasms of thought, munching me,
From within, from without.
From a time I bled free.

Bite me,
Chasms of emotions, haunting me.
Go within, go without,
Go where I’ve never been.

Why me?
Dust in search of home.
From across, from abroad,
From life’s rivered course.

Try three.
One for good measure.
Two for luck. Two for luck.
Three for life’s uncertain flair.
