Thank you so much for the thoughtful response, Trisha. It is true that the pain of identity shift often blinds (me) to the blessings of new relationships.

It just seems so hard when I’ve been ‘moving’ for over a year and we’re set to move again in a few months. I’ve never had to deal with so much for such an extended period.

I am learning to make room for new bonds, and it’s been very, very exciting to find people who in small ways remind me of myself.
