The Inner Battles We Don’t Talk About

Finding Strength in Solitude

You won’t get any fanfare for the inner battles won. No celebrations and events, for the promises you keep to yourself.

Only the knowledge that you can trust yourself for “everywhere you’ll go, there you’ll be.”

What’s a better companion than one you can count on? What’s a better general than a dependable one?

Act to impress yourself, not others, that you can do what you decide to do.

That you’ll keep your word when no one is watching.

That you’re worthy of your respect.

Others will sense this; you know it even if they don’t.

And that’s enough.
