Video Games Are Making my Life Exciting Again

And it feels really amazing

When I look back at my life with my only brother, there are so many games:

Phase one (2001- 2003)

‘This computer thing is the future, you both need to take computer classes’.

Shadow Knight, Dangerous Dave, Galacta, Prince of Persia.

Phase two (2003- 2005)

‘You both need to stay home, this neighborhood isn’t very safe’.

Jackie Chan Stunt Master, Pro-Evolution Soccer, Fifa, Grand Tourismo, Mortal Kombat.

Phase three (2006- 2011)

I’m in college now little brother, look what games I found!

Need 4 Speed, Halo, Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, Lord of the Rings

Then my brother grew up — too fast in my opinion. We moved from games to Animes and Indie music.

He eventually taught himself how to play the bass and the drums.

We didn’t play much anymore.

When I moved, I found out that my wife’s roommate was a gamer. He made his PS4 available for me to use. Even signed me in so I could play online.

I felt guilty for playing. Even though this is something that has been a huge part of my life and bonding process, I could not bring myself to enjoy it fully.

I felt that I should be ‘productive’.

Last week, I finally came to terms with my new life.

I sat, started COD:Black Ops III, finished it.

I was — during this period — able to write more, increase my video editing skills significantly and made fries for my wife.

I know I’m going to be scheduling this!

I just spoke with my mother-in-law and she’s agreed to get me my console.

Now, the question is :
Xbox for Halo, or PlayStation for Uncharted?
