You Are A Child Of Light
You forget that you are a child of light. That your cry was longing for the source, and the pain you feel today is only an extension of your scream.
It won’t go away without acceptance. If anything, it hardens and darkens each day you ignore, avoid, or deny.
You are a child of light. You are light. Because there’s is darkness, you are bound to fight. Only your shine wins. Only peeling away at any soot the world may have splattered.
It’s a task you must complete alone. If you stretch out, you will get help. You’ll be pulled closer to the bright spot and light hive.
But, you will never cross the chasm through the help of your fellow brothers and sisters.
You will watch them all stand, beckoning you to come over. On one side, they will cheer you on — large smiles and bright colors.
On the other side, you will find your dark brothers and sisters, screaming hopelessly that you forget who you are and join the long trail of clones from the darkness.
It’s not a battle you win alone. It’s not one you win by ignoring the source. It’s not one you win by hoping and praying alone.
This battle isn’t won. It’s lived: every second of every day.
Every decision, every ‘no’. Every lie. Every suppressed thought.
Every moment of light denied.
Wake today knowing you are in a battle. Wake, remember your scream.
It wasn’t a squeal of joy. It was a war cry. A child’s cry.
You may be covered in shadows, quivering with the weight of your unlived life.
Yet, you remain a child of light — a warrior of light.
