You Don’t Have To Do It Alone
You are capable of so much more, especially if you don’t choose to do it alone.
Self-belief would make your soar. So does faith from others: team, family, friends, fans, collaborators.
When I see the way children go to their parents for nearly everything, it’s impossible for me to not extrapolate how that particular relationship is key to the rest of the relationships in our lives.
Some people say we end up marrying our parents.
How true is it?
What happens that we find ourselves attracted to people who have the same traits as those who cared and provided for us as we discovered the world out of the womb?
My guess is this: as much as we want to be more, do more and grow, whether as individuals or in our work or purpose on earth, we can’t do it alone.
Jesus had 12 helpers, who are you to think you can do it alone?
But you know what I love even more about this?
The people who will provide the support you need at the most critical period of your life whether at work or school or on your business or even in your relationship with humans or God — these people may have NOTHING to do with what you’re working on.
Your mother may have no clue what a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering looks like, but she knows when you need your meal and a hug.
Your husband may be clueless as to how to run a business, but he’ll make the joke that makes your day brighter.
We may want the people in our lives to provide direct support on whatever difficulty we’re having at the moment, while we ignore the prayers, wishes, words of comfort and symbolic empathy.
Don’t do it all alone. Share with those who care. They might not have the solution to your issue, they may not even understand it, but they will give you something everyone needs: a listening ear.
And that could make all the difference the next time you get back to whatever you were working on.
It’s happened too many times for me to think it’s just luck.
P.S: Apologies for my absence. A lot has happened. While waiting for me to write it all in detail, you can watch the video I made below. Don’t forget to subscribe!
